This publication is a result of student work. We were meant to take a notable speech from history, and create an experimental publication design based on its content. "You're the Real MVP" is Kevin Durant's speech given in 2014 while accepting the honor. Known for it's sincerity, depth, and length, my interpretation explores emotive typography that follows his words, as well as periodically using the time code from when in the speech he is uttering the words to emphasize the historic length. Additional details include expressions of Kevin Durant's game statistics, as this was a standout strength of his.
The context concept for this project was a hypothetical collector's edition fan giveaway at the Oklahoma Thunder's stadium on gameday, with accompanying t-shirts to support the commemoration.
